Elders Puts Its Faith In the Region

The rural industry in Regional Queensland will be in a better position for all their agri supplies now and into the future with the opening of a new Elders premise in Charters Towers.  Elders have moved into a large 1300m2 building on a 5000m2 site at Goldtower Central. The modern site offering an all-weather drive through for loading and unloading that can cater to the four-wheel drive and the B doubles. With the improvements comes a greater range of merchandise, services, and stock.

Having one of the most trusted names in agribusiness, Elders understands the importance of growing the business to ensure that the customers can support their farms with all their stores.

Frank Beverage Mayor of Charters Tower said, “We are pleased to see the expansions of the Elders into a larger premise.  With the demand for food increasing for the next 25 years, agriculture especially the beef industry, needs businesses to grow to cater to this pressure.  This expansion shows faith in Charters Towers region and for this we are grateful.”

Paul McIver, owner Goldtower Central said, “Elders is the newest tenant of our commercial development, we have now invested millions in Charters Towers to date, and we are not stopping any time soon. Our development has seen six buildings completed with new constructions of Poppet Head Plaza and Treasure Towers now leasing. We had a vision of establishing a strong presence in the West, Elders, shares our vision and the growth of this national brand into our precinct promotes a strong appeal to do business in regional Queensland.”

The new branch at Goldtower Central presents a fantastic opportunity for Elders with a brand-new location offering an enhanced customer experience. Showcasing a state-of-the-art showroom, drive-thru access and an all-weather loading and unloading dock, the new facilities improve access to a wider range of livestock, merchandise, and services.

The new Elders branch will employ three additional staff with a team of nine to deliver to the Charters Towers community covering the Dalrymple and wider region. They will also extend their trading hours, operating weekdays 8am-5pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 12pm starting June 18th. Their long-term leasing commitment to Goldtower demonstrates their strong belief in the future of the region and the growth of the agricultural industry.

The staff on site have a wealth of knowledge and are experts in livestock, nutrition, fencing, rural supplies, and agriculture and are helping with the future of sustainable and innovative farming.
