Charters Towers locals have a new way to spend their Friday nights thanks to the launch of the Poppet Head Plaza Markets. Held in partnership with the Charters Towers Rotary Club, these night markets kicked off for the first time this month and will now run on the second Friday of each month.
The plaza came alive after dark with stalls selling handmade goods, plants, homewares, boutique products and plenty of food. Families and friends wandered through the markets enjoying live music, grabbing dinner from food trucks and catching up under the stars.
The Rotary Club helped organise the event and raised funds for local community projects, adding to the friendly atmosphere. With a great turnout on the first night, the markets are set to become a regular highlight, bringing people together to support small businesses and celebrate the Charters Towers community.
