Rural Medical Imaging 1st Birthday

Rural Medical Imaging Charters Towers has officially celebrated its first birthday, marking an incredible milestone at Goldtower.

In just 12 months of operation, the team has completed more than 8,900 medical scans, a significant achievement for regional healthcare and a major step forward for the Charters Towers community.

A standout highlight of the year has been the introduction of Charters Towers’ first CT scanner, which accounted for 2,482 of those scans.  This has meant faster diagnoses, reduced travel for patients, and improved access to critical imaging services close to home.

The anniversary celebration was a proud moment not only for Rural Medical Imaging, but also for Goldtower Central, which is thrilled to support essential services that make a real difference in the region.

The photo capturing the milestone was taken for Sumpton’s Gold Rush Gazette, Charters Towers’ local newspaper, helping share this achievement with the wider community.

Congratulations to the entire Rural Medical Imaging team on an outstanding first year. Here’s to many more years of supporting regional health and wellbeing.
