Goldtower Central Grand Opening

Goldtower Central celebrated its Grand Opening with a two day event. There were rides, entertainment, activities, shopping and plenty of fun. Goldtower’s owner Paul McIver officially opened the precinct alongside federal MP Bob Katter.

Harvey Norman Grand Opening

Harvey Norman was the first major retailer to arrive at Goldtower Central marking an exciting new era of retail in Charters Towers. The Grand Opening was celebrated with giveaways, face paintings for the kids, a BBQ and so much more.

Goldtower's Lights Up Christmas

Goldtower Central’s first Christmas was celebrated with the lighting of the largest Christmas tree in North Queensland. With carolers and Santa Claus, the evening was spent under the Charters Towers stars with Goldtower Central as the most beautiful backdrop.

21st July 2023

Combined Schools Formal

Goldtower Central was proud to host the 2023 combined schools formal. Year 12 students from Charters Towers High Schools danced the night away under the beautifully decorated roof of Poppet Head Plaza.

12th August 2023

Charters Towers Charity Ball

Goldtower Central hosted the annual Charters Charity Ball under the roof of Poppet Head Plaza. With prizes for best dressed and the auction of an Ed Sheeran guitar, $26,000 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House.

Pet Expo

In celebration of the Grand Opening of Pets Domain and The Charters Towers Wall of History, Goldtower Central hosted its first pet expo. With markets, rides, entertainment, tours of the wall and a pet parade, Goldtower proudly welcomed its newest tenant to Treasure Towers.

2nd December 2023

Goldtower Christmas Markets

Goldtower hosted its first Christmas Markets in collaboration with the Charters Towers Rotary Club. Despite the eventful weather, the evening was a success with 18 local stall holders, live music, entertainment and a visit from Santa.

Rotary Markets

Goldtower proudly hosted its first market of the year in partnership with Rotary, featuring an array of local vendors offering everything from fresh produce to delectable baked goods and exquisite handmade crafts. A celebration of community spirit and craftsmanship, this event left a lasting impression on all who attended.
