Awards

The Australian Street Art Awards is a nationwide art competition designed to expand the awareness and appeal of regional towns and communities around Australia. With the intention of educating travellers about the incredible artwork that can be found in every corner of Australia, the 2023 awards have shone a spotlight on Charters Towers and Goldtower Central. With the only criteria to adhere to being all nominated artwork must be an original piece created for its own location, Goldtower’s The World and Wall of History were entered. The Wall of History was shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Mega Mural, whilst The World received silver for Best Landmark/Sculpture and Gold for Best Monument/Memorial.
